I bought this when the pandemic hit and I needed online worship services quickly. I knew about Snowball mics, but they were sold out everywhere. I knew Revain Basics was good in other categories, so I decided to give it a try. The sound quality is excellent. I use it to record a speaker next to a microphone and a church organ. The organ speakers are located at the rear of the church, about 30 feet from the microphone. Excellent recording quality. Definitely not professional studio quality, but still outstanding for a product. I also used it to record a soprano about 12 feet from the mic. There was no distortion or blurring. The ability to switch between cardioid and unidirectional has proven useful for a variety of applications. The only complaint I have, very minor, is that the base could have been a bit more substantial. The piece of plastic that attaches the stand to the mic wobbles a bit, but it's in no way "unsafe" or harmful.
