Review on πŸ’‘ Atomi Rotating Mini Surge Protector with 2 USB Charging Ports - White by Corey Krull

Good solution, with a few improvements

I needed an extra outlet in a tight space under my kitchen cabinet where I had an outlet next to the rocker switch. My first attempt was with a device with rotating outlets, but the plug wouldn't budge and jammed the toggle switch. This Atomi device has a rotating cover that allowed me to position it vertically. - The problem is solved! ATTENTION for those who are also confused by the description: only the rear connector rotates; no front connectors. I've attached a photo of the back of the unit in case anyone is interested in the electrical specs. I've found that when you put something in the bottom socket, it retracts because it extends under the socket. I took a bottle cap and attached it to the back with double sided tape to fill the gap on the wall (see photo). Now we can plug things into the bottom socket without worrying about the device popping out of the socket. Another problem arose when lengthening the forks. I found that I had to hold the device with one hand while unplugging it with the other to avoid unplugging the entire device. To solve this problem I also put strips of double sided tape around the base of the fork to hold it in place. I think this is a great solution if you have plugs that stay in place more or less permanently, especially in tight spaces. Just remember that you'll need two hands if you're constantly plugging and unplugging devices.
