This is a great little radio with lots of nice features but there is a problem that makes it unusable. It's a headphone jack that plays static or not at all on the left channel at low volume. This radio uses a antenna wire as the antenna and will not work as well as a real antenna. I've tried several earbuds and lightweight headphones and they all have the same problem. At low volume, you will hear hissing and lose the left channel entirely. Slightly rocking it back and forth sometimes corrects this, but it's impossible to hold it in that position and listen comfortably. If I just use the antenna cable that came with it, I can hear through the small speaker, but that's not what I bought it for. I've read other reviews that explained this problem but I thought it might just be a few faulty radios, but now I know this is a very common problem. I have to return this radio. I've already bought another brand with a real antenna and my headphones work great with it even at very low volumes!
