Throw away your headphones!

Excellent radio. Very high quality for the price. Watch the video on YouTube. Cheap self-destructive headphones are a disaster and a disservice to this beautiful radio. They broke, ie broke at the seams, before the end of the first week. No, I'm not picky when it comes to headphones. They have damn good sound quality - with separation for true stereo FM. As a plus, the sound can be fed into the speakers via a 3/8 plug. Just upgrade your headphones. The bass boost provides a slight drone. Like a

This radio uses a antenna wire as the antenna and will not work as well as a real antenna. I've tried several earbuds and lightweight headphones and they all have the same problem. At low volume, you will hear hissing and lose the left channel entirely. Slightly rocking it back and forth sometimes corrects

Very good except. in radios

. This radio has one main problem - the fragility of the headphone jack and volume control. Eventually one of the pins inside will become intermittent, and you'll have to wiggle the connector and/or slide it to one side or the other for both channels to work. A pain just wishing you had it in your pocket while walking your dog. I bought three of these including the first which also had a TV group option and they all had a headphone jack failure after a year, two or three and the last one now…

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model
