Review on πŸ› Kingston Brass DTT5302A0 Match Touch-Toe Tub Drain Kit in Stylish Matte Black Finish: A Must-have for Effortless Drain Control! by Josue Zepeda

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Cheap nylon STRIPS STRIPS during installation and a pop-up stopper won't stop anything.

Bought a polished nickel drain set. Presumably to make this more versatile (perhaps metric and US sizes), the solid metal drain is fitted with a cheap nylon thread seal (jacket) so it can be used for two sizes of pipe. IT'S THE STRIPES! I made sure the threads weren't crossed over, but when I tightened to compress the rubber seal, it ripped off the nylon sleeve and spun freely in the drain, no guarantee it wouldn't leak. This is utter nonsense! Drain pipe made of rigid PVC? Check. Metal drain insert? Check? Cheap nylon pad? What the hell? The spacer should be metal or not necessary at all as all US drainage systems have used the same diameter threaded pipe for at least 3 decades. Update: I checked the pop up drain valve and IT WON'T CLOSE THE DRAIN. Water constantly flows into the channel, regardless of whether the plug is raised or lowered. i give it back GARBAGE! DO NOT BUY!
