The monitor is very clear and completely invisible when not in use. Comes with an 18ft cord that isn't long enough to run under the car into the cab of the Subaru Baja (at least not the route I took). The mirror is a little darker than the factory mirror but works well. I like that you can look at the monitor while driving or just reversing - there's a button on the mirror for that. The default is reverse search only. I was worried the quality would be worse but overall satisfied. 4 stars (not 5) - that's because the cords weren't enough to get where I wanted to go - had to order an extension cord.
