I'm a big Sorel fan and have a few pairs left in size 5 (women's size 7). The Whitney II is noticeably snugger so I removed the insoles and they fit much better. They have also stretched a bit over time and I can now wear them with pads. They're still a little tight, but the thickness of the insoles makes the boots incredibly comfortable, almost like slippers. I would hesitate to use them in mud and mud because of the light color but they are perfect for the cold. temperatures and light rain/snow. Traction is also really good for icier conditions that my duck boots can't handle. Also, they're almost half the price of the women's version, so overall they're great for me.
