i wear 9 ee (wide) and read in the reviews that they are big so i did ordered them smaller. I saw that size 8.5 was significantly cheaper, so I took a chance. After loosening the laces a bit my wide feet fit perfectly with extra room if you need 9 extra wide (4E). The length is also perfect for me and I hope that the support insert doesn't take up too much space. In comparison I have to wear Nike and Adidas 9.5s and even then they are very tight. Overall a great purchase, will update if I run into any issues.
