Be sure to buy a Samsung EVO card.

Manual & Quick Start Guideimage.png The only thing you need to add is a microSDXC card - the manual recommends Samsung EVO cards, which is why I bought them. in weather around 100F. The connectors are properly oriented so they almost wiggle when you plug in the power and return cables, and there's a 90 degree bend up, making it very easy to do a professional install yourself. Hardwired in place of the included 12V cigarette lighter plug to allow recording even when the car is off by connecting to a constantly hot wire. I have my settings set to a 5 minute loop. One thing that needs to be made clear is that old footage will not be overwritten until the memory card is full. So even if you set the cycle to 5 minutes, the larger the memory card, the longer your story will be. Each video file is divided into 5 minutes, so you can easily find and save the clips you need. There are three equal sensitivity settings and I ended up increasing them to the most sensitive setting. While this sometimes works even out of a bump, since I have 256GB of storage it still gives me plenty of storage space and time before I need to clean up auto-saved clips. There's also a button you can click if you want to manually lock a file so it doesn't get deleted. The great thing about the software is that all of these event-based triggers are stored in a separate folder on the microSDXC card, so you don't have to search through hundreds of 5-minute files for them. . A very nice detail. The front camera slides up and down easily when you need to connect for updates. I mention this because initially I had a small problem and contacted support via email. Within a few days they released an update to fix my particular issue and I was able to install the update without any problems. I had to format the microSDXC card after the update. So if you have an older, smaller microSDXC card, which might not even be a Samsung Evo, it's handy to use it during the firmware update so you can format and download the update from it. card, not the card you use every day that may contain important footage. The camera has been running for almost 20 days and so far there have been no problems turning it on and off. No frames were dropped and all event-based recordings are saved correctly. Overall, I highly recommend this camera for its ease of use and reliability. Remember to get a Samsung EVO card.
