I am 188 cm tall and I bought a size L. The title notes "compression underwear" and "leggings" as part of the description. It is neither one nor the other. If I had to describe them exactly, it would be more "tights". The seams are nice and flat which makes them very snug fitting. The size is very accurate. The bag is suitable for keys, iPod, small phone. They are perfect for the bottom layer. As for compression, it's a BUG! If that's what you're looking for, keep going. They offer a great fit but not the compression you really need. The fabric and cut are beautiful. The belt is very comfortable and sits exactly where you need it. Online information indicates that they are excellent for various activities, including cycling, running and yoga. You are TOO THIN! You don't have to use them while running BUT don't bend over. If you're wearing them to yoga, make sure you're in the back row. When you pull down the dog you are in sight size large, about paque, while wearing the medium would offer more compression but stretched so tight that it would be fully visible! I'll wear them under shorts or as an extra layer in cold weather, but on their own it's a recipe for disaster.
