I've been using the Gen1 bottle for over a year now and haven't had any major issues with it other than it's too wide to fit in my car's cup holder. These glass bottles are great because they look crystal clear when you add water and they don't retain odors or stains like plastic bottles. I've never dropped mine, but having a 1 year warranty on it is a good deal for such an expensive bottle. The 32 ounce bottle is a bit difficult to clean as it is so tall and the neck width is not as wide as the rest of the bottle. The bottom is nice and flat too so I've never had a problem with my top feeling heavy even when full. The new gen2 bottle cap is a nice improvement over the old one. Now it's all metal for a more durable feel, and the silicone ring has a pull tab for easy removal and cleaning. I filled it with water and didn't notice any leaks when I shook it upside down, so it seems airtight enough to me. Note. The threads on the caps are slightly different, so Gen1 and Gen2 caps are not reversible.
