The first thing that struck me was that this was old new stock. This is completely unopened packaging (ie unused) but the cardboard and styrofoam show some wear. For me, that's not a problem (although it would be nice to know before buying). Only the supplied tubes were affected. Almost useless. It turned very yellow, got very hard, and got very ugly. I threw it away and got something new. Everything else actually looks very nice. The hardware is all fairly high quality and looks sharp, the rubber gasket is still soft and usable, and the pot itself has a nice finish. The problem was someone held them upside down or something. Everything was just completely covered with oil. There is almost nothing left in the engine. It was so bad that I had to disassemble everything as much as possible just to dry everything. After a good cleaning and refilling of the oil tank, the pump will work normally. This is definitely a Chinese fake, but it's done pretty well. It has some weight, and when I took it apart I didn't notice any cheap plastic where metal should be, nor any poor build quality. Overall I'm happy with the pump and vacuum chamber as it is now. But I can't apologize for not mentioning that it was old stock or improper storage of their inventory. If you're willing to put in some effort to get rid of all that oil that's lying around and buy a new hose, then for the price it's fine.
