Love this pocket watch! They have a beautiful design, they are functional and after a week the clock is out of order. I just hold the watch in my hand and look at it from time to time because its design is so beautiful. I love the fact that a light press of the button opens the front, while a firm press opens the back and reveals the inner workings. Also, you don't have to open the case to see the time, thanks to a small window on the front that shows the clock hands. The front is also beautifully engraved with Roman numerals. If there's only one downside, you'll have to wind it up every few days. So if you put it away for a while without using it, it stops. but I think that's pretty much the standard for any mechanical pocket watch. The watch is well made and you can feel its solid construction and high-quality workmanship when you hold it in your hands. I decided between these or the Akribos XXIV and am very glad I chose this watch. My friend has an Akribos and while it has a very neat design, it doesn't have the elegance and beauty that this one has. I really liked the Akribos' stand feature for placing it on a table, but as it turns out you can do the same with this watch by opening the front and back and placing it in a vertical position. It also comes with a Charles Hubert Lifetime Warranty, which I think is great. If you're hesitating (as I am) about which pocket watch to buy, rest assured that you'll be happy with this watch. I checked the pocket watch carefully before buying it and am very happy with my decision.
