Review on ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ DEEPCOOL CF120 Plus: High-Airflow 3x120mm PWM Fan 3-Pack with A-RGB Dual Loop Lighting Zones and Low-Noise Operation - Control via Motherboard or Included Controller by Devin Jenkins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Noise over 60%. Native RGB connections. Very nice RGB lighting

Disclaimer: They are currently installed in the Cooler Master Q500L. Micro-ATX case with full ATX support. This case is probably less soundproof than a typical ATX case. Pros: - Excellent RGB lighting - Can move a lot of air - Works with Asus Aura Sync of air noise at high speeds (like a vacuum cleaner) - LED current rating for each fan is 0.63 amps. 3 of which are 1.89 amps. The maximum current of my motherboard's RGB connector is 3 amps. One thing I hate about these RGB fans is their RGB connectors. You can't separate these fans and keep RGB capability unless you buy an additional controller to connect them proprietary. To be honest, however, this is not the fault of the manufacturer of these fans. Somehow motherboard manufacturers designed different connectors to use RGB and confused 12V RGB with 5V RGB, causing people who don't know to blow up their boards. They also use 0.63A for LEDs. These are VERY VERY good LEDs, but if your RGB connector can only handle 2 amps then you don't have room for anything else. These fans also have a smaller fan surface due to the LED ring. My guess is that this makes the fans spin faster to release the same amount of air, which in turn creates more noise. In addition, the fan speed is over 60% and in my case these are by far the loudest fans. My vetroo V5 fan sounds like bearing hum A little louder but tolerable at a full 1700rpm, these DeepCool fans sound like a vacuum cleaner. I keep them under 60% during gameplay and can barely stand them. It sucks because for the fans to be really useful to me I have to turn them on and they make a lot of noise. If I could give 2.5 stars I would. They work as they should. The RGB looks great, the fans move a lot of air, only they are very loud in my build. I wouldn't buy them again. They're too expensive, too loud, and proprietary RGB connectors suck.
