Review on Half-Life: Alyx by Rashid Alizada

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It could be the best game in the Half-Life series.

Although the gameplay is substantially different, it nevertheless has a nostalgic sense of the original Half-Life. The tools needed to fire things from a distance are attached to our hands, as we can see in the trailers. With the help of this gadget, one of VR's most tedious aspects has been eliminated and made into a joyful experience. Sometimes, after a few tries, I was able to pull the target I was trying to shoot, but because I got trapped in combat, I assume it wasn't from the game. Both the old foes and completely new ones are there. It's a really disturbing game. Since Alyx lacks a HEV suite, she can absorb less punishment, and merely two or three zombies are sufficient to frighten the gamer. The game goes too far; it doesn't end with zombies. I suppose there were times when I shook and my arms slid from my grasp due to perspiration. They haven't even managed to reproduce the ambiance of City 17, which we first saw 16 years ago in its concrete condition. Half-Life 2 included a ton of rubbish, which gave even deserted rooms a lively appearance. They used the same process, but with a hundred times more level of detail, to resurrect rooms with straightforward geometry. The iconic Combine death beep and Overwatch announcement noises are back, coupled with new Strider and zombie sounds, and the sound design gives City 17 a fresh spin. Of course, there is more, but we are not able to cover everything here. This game's narrative is rather intense, although I'm not sure what type of stuff. I won't tell. Again, Valve did it.
