Survived Hurricane Harvey

This case helped my outdoor TV survive Hurricane Harvey! A 48 inch flat screen TV was mounted on an outdoor stand on a technically covered pergola, but the cover definitely took on water from wind and spray. I really didn't expect the TV to be able to handle the 50 inches of rain we got during Hurricane Harvey, especially when I checked the TV's lid during a brief dry spell and found water was dripping from a corner as I opened it tilted. However, after removing some rust from the remote battery terminals, the TV and cable box (also outside) immediately caught fire! The cover fits the TV with space, which is almost bad considering the design of the cover. The photo shows that the bottom corners do not have velcro on the "deep" part of the cover. With a thin and narrow TV, a small gap in the photo can turn into a large hole for water to penetrate. It sits under the TV and shouldn't be a problem, but I wish it had an extra velcro strap. Also, the real weak point of this cover is where the TV mount attaches to the TV. The image shows that quite a bit of the TV remains open despite the top being protected. I wish there was an extra vertical slot here to make the hole smaller. But I really think these complaints are finicky. With its overhead coverage, this case kept my TV dry during a hurricane (actually a tropical storm when it hit me). Enough. It sits under the TV and shouldn't be a problem, but I wish it had an extra velcro strap. Also, the real weak point of this cover is where the TV mount attaches to the TV.
