I don't see this as a supplement to exercise; I take it for another (seemingly obscure) purpose: to increase the effectiveness of my opioid pain relievers. I have an inherited degenerative neuromuscular disease and have had pain on a daily basis for over ten years. Just a few months ago I was researching various supplements and came across agmatine. I have never heard of it. According to the wiki, it is an "opioid modulator" that supposedly increases the pain-relieving effect with reduced tolerability (both are very good). I ordered him to try. Well IT WORKS. Really really good. It is very important to me to take the least amount of pain medication possible for as long as possible as I am quite young and will be in pain for the rest of my life. Since adding this product I have actually been able to get rid of four Vicodin a day compared to five I have been taking for several years. It's so helpful. My medications are more effective and last longer. I used to have barely four hours of relief, and agmatine has extended that to a full six hours between doses. There are times when this is not the case, but they are much rarer. It has become an integral part of my pain therapy. I would like to share this with other pain patients. I shared it with my doctor in hopes that he would study it and possibly recommend it to other patients. In terms of frequency and dosage, I take half to one full scoop about four times a day. I take it in the morning when I take my first pill and then take half a scoop between pills. I probably take 2-3g a day with no side effects. I have only reordered this brand, it is always well sealed. I also have capsules to take with me on the go. Bad taste but I just dilute it with some water and drink it, the bad taste doesn't stay.
