I measured my boy's head and it fell right on the line between xx and xs. I decided to take a chance and suggest giving it a little flex as I wanted it to be neat and not fall off my head. It turned out to be a great choice and there is a little elastic gathering at the back of the hat that was just enough to stretch a bit but still stay on your head perfectly! The quality is excellent and I think they turned out perfect for our family photos. !
