It works. I bought this for two reasons. (1) I enjoy learning and modifying my own machine, and (2) the cost of this tool is equal to or even greater than the cost of someone else providing the same service. I was able to properly roll up two quarter panels on my car using a heat gun. The learning curve for this setup is short. You can easily watch videos online on how to use it. Only impatience could lead to a bad result. My only problem was the packaging. It had styrofoam inside which falls apart when you try to unwrap it. It's kind of weird that they stuff it so tightly with styrofoam. Pretty light packaging. You could not dent these parts by hitting them with a hammer. It appears to be packaged in a way that will not damage the shipping box or other packages.
