Review on ๐Ÿ•น๏ธ Enhanced Wii Remote Controller Charger Station by Covanm - 4 Port Charging Station, 4 Rechargeable Batteries for Wii (Includes USB Cable, Free USB Wall Charger, and Replacement Batteries) by Todd Worley

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Generally good, batteries have a relatively high self-discharge rate.

Overall -- We love this product so far and have been using it for about 2 weeks now. The only issue I've noticed is the relatively quick self-discharge of the batteries when they're not plugged in (sitting on the carpet waiting for us to use them). We charged all 4 batteries when we received it and it took about a week to use the 1st battery 2x. We swapped them out but found that the next 2 batteries were already clearly drained. I assume we'll just have to leave them in the charging station and leave the charging station on all the time until it's time to swap out new batteries. Docking station - the light is very bright. We have it in the basement, it's very dark there at night. When the charging station is on, the blue light (means full batteries, red means charging) is bright enough that I keep thinking someone missed the light. I think that's technically correct, but it's not the kind of lamp I usually want to turn off. batteries. Except for the self-discharge rate, they work well. When trying to insert them into the Wii U controllers they are very tight, to be safe we insert them relatively slowly as I don't want the battery spring to catch and/or bend during insertion and removal. Since it goes in so tight, you can imagine it coming out just as tight. And you are right. I prefer short nails, so I use the original battery cover as a neat screwdriver to pry the batteries (on the push tab) out.
