This toy has enough weight and traction to move at a good pace for beginners, but not so much that it's difficult to move. It has a solid base that won't tip over and holds enough toys. Even when toddlers are learning to walk, this toy allows them to take all their stuff with them anywhere in the house. It was an expensive purchase for our last child (I'm very much for long-term usability and value) but I see us using it for several years and still sharing it with another family. Its worth it!
