Plastic union nuts cracked after tightening
Plastic union nuts cracked after tightening. Replaced with a 1/2" FPT to 1/2" FPT adapter and a 1/2" MPT to 1/2" OD hose barb fitting. All threads are coated with thread sealant PTFE paste. (Teflon tape didn't work either.)
