This is my fourth time buying these hair bands in 3 years. First of all, you get 90 ties for less than $10. What offer! Bought for me and my adult daughter. We both have fairly thick hair, but not too thick. If I use an elastic, I wrap it a few times after placing it on my ponytail. When I need a super strong hold without slipping, I do the loop again. Most importantly, they are made of fabric and just don't rip or break my hair. They stretch after a while (a long time, IMHO) but don't break like regular rubber bands. My hair has never been damaged by them either, although I do notice that the hair shedding tends to frizz around the elastic if you use it many times or for a long period of time. Highly recommended!
