I have Lorex security cameras at home so I bought these to have a one stop shop - it's convenient to view all the cameras from one app . All cameras are of decent quality. After a bit of research we decided that a wired doorbell would work better - I've read too many reviews of battery powered systems that make it difficult to keep changing batteries. The doorbell was a little tricky to install - the wires kept popping out if I twisted it too tight and falling off if I didn't twist it tight enough. I used the extension cords that came with it as they were plugged into the washing machine. This created an issue with too many things behind the camera, making installation difficult. I ended up having to drill a larger hole in the block I designed to sit on top of my brick mold and it worked. The hole at the bottom to hold the device in place can be oval instead of round to allow for a slight upward tilt towards the camera. Doorbells are not usually overhead. I can see the whole person when I get close to the door, but I can't see their head when I'm too close. Basically I am satisfied with the product.
