good idea bad implementation

First to the seller. I received this item about a week early and that is the only thing that was good about this item. It was packaged in a box twice the size of the box that a real aquarium comes in from the factory. So he had plenty of room to turn around and hurt himself. Also, when I opened the packaging, I noticed that the aquarium had never been used. Half of the filter was missing, there were signs of wear on the pump, there were also signs on the glass. The glass itself was broken on two corners. So don't buy online from petco. Go to a store that matches the price and buy it there. About the product I bought this for its low consumption and my betta will love it. I still bike so this is a bit of an early review. Pros: The size is perfect for a bookshelf or countertop. Just be careful with the weight. Dry weight approximately 14 pounds, raw weight approximately 56 pounds without decoration or backing. This way you can reinforce the shelf you put it on. It comes with a transparent plastic dome that you can put on the fountain if the sound of running water gets annoying after a while. The cost of a rimless tank is high even if you throw away the filter/light. The bad: - The pump is incredibly weak and only pumps water into the top of the tank - The light is also incredibly weak and I don't recommend it for growing plants. Also, don't try to build a black water tank with this light. It looks like it's not even activated. (It's bright in the attached picture, but it was in a well-lit room at the time). The light and the pump are made in one piece. So if one of them fails, you need to replace both of them. The cost is around $50-$70, basically what you paid to install who. Installing the heater is a bit fiddly. Especially if you want that classic look. (No cables) Also, the cover does not have a large enough opening for these cables. All in all, if you just want a rimless tank of this size, it's worth it, but I don't see the pump/filter/light as sufficient either. the tasks for which they were created.

Pros
  • 17 powerful LEDs plus constant light for soft lighting
