Review on 🧺 Hiketron 5X Ultra Concentrated Liquid Laundry Detergent: Long Lasting Scented Sample Kit - 8 Pack, 64 Loads by Sue Baccam

Decided to try a new powder detergent to change my usual washing routine and chose this brand after reading reviews and visiting the company's website . I liked the sample selection as I didn't know what flavor I might like before I went for the larger size. The bottles arrived safe and sound in their own box with no apparent leaks. The smells were very strong straight out of the bottles, but I assumed they would soften with washing and drying. I used the recommended amount of topload on my first try which caused my sheets to smell too much. The smell (Royal Linen) was not unpleasant per se, but was so strong that I felt like I was sleeping in a fragrant cloud that irritated my nose and eyes. I thought the smell would fade over time, but after a few days it was still too strong and I overwashed my sheets with my regular detergent. which helped make the strength of the scent bearable for me. Reduced amounts of detergent still come out with a strong scent that some people might like, but I think I've decided I want my laundry to smell clean, not heavy perfume or cologne. I've tried Royal Linen, Mambo Man, Suit Up and Cotton Fresh, all of which have a strong scent. I've also tried Dainty Fresh, which is a little less potent, and Clear & Powerful, which is fragrance-free. I will say that the Hiketron detergent seems to wash well with no residue and my clothes feel soft without fabric softener, but my regular detergent did the same at a better price and smelled more to my liking. I use up the remaining Hiketron by adding a very, very small amount with my regular laundry detergent. So if you like strong scented laundry, this might be a good cleaner for you. I personally found most of the flavors too strong so I won't be buying them again. Edit to add: I finished all my samples by adding a small amount of Hiketron along with a reduced amount of my regular laundry detergent. The strength of the scent with my modification suited me well. I liked all of the different flavors, although I think Bold Man and Cotton Fresh were my favorites. Everything came out soft and clean. The price of this cleanser seems high when it was my only cleanser and I used the full recommended amount per load. But as I prefer a smaller amount I would consider this a potential waste when washing my sheets and towels.
