When I first adopted my kitten he was in a terrible state and I was looking for an immunity booster that wouldn't cost a decent sum. He took a chance and bought this product without any conviction and after about 5 months digestion he looks like a completely changed cat. He had bad bruises, lung problems, coat problems and more from his previous home but is now a happy, healthy kitten. Given that my friend's adult cats refused to eat them, I was lucky that I started feeding them to my kitty as a treat, otherwise I don't think he'll get used to the taste or smell. It is limited to 1, very rarely 2 days per day, completely separate from the scheduled regular feeding time. I think that gives him a chance to notice the change in texture as he chews. I've seen cats choke on it in some reviews, but luckily that's never happened. I personally don't mind the smell or the texture because it's advertised as a soft chewing gum and I used to smell a lot worse.
