More expensive than I would like but does exactly what it's supposed to do. The fan is quiet and works well enough to keep my company laptop cool. No more overheated fingertips! The hinges are stiff enough to hold position with ease and are fairly easy to adjust. Yes. It tips over if you shift the center of gravity too far back. If that's really what you need, a clamp or small flat bar will help. All in all it's worth the money. I didn't buy it for ergonomic reasons, but I won't go back to my laptop without this stand. It made a big, unexpected difference in comfort.
