I'll start by saying I had low expectations. How low is low. I just wanted a very basic duvet that would fit my king size bed. I don't sleep well and had a regular base duvet that handled the temperature well. I ordered the CA King Size to have the extra stud. Em. I don't. In fact, it almost doesn't hang over the bed. About 6 inches dangles from the sides and bottom, and that's even though the top isn't stretched over the pillows. I'm not picky, but if I pulled it over the pillows like most people make their beds, there wouldn't be any Sims underneath at all. It really is a very awkward size and I don't know why they didn't add at least 6 more inches if not 12 more on each side. Second, we keep our room at 70-72 at night, there is a breeze coming in through the window block which is literally 3 feet from the bed, also there is a ceiling fan. I usually get cold from the wind. This duvet is absolutely non-breathable. I was so hot the first night. Mind you I didn't even add a duvet cover, it's just an insert. I've never kept my room this cool at night (before my fiancé I had my room at 75 and slept great with a blanket) and yet at 70-72 I burn under this thing to the point where I can't even bother could comfortably make 2am and turned the AC down to 66. We have a cooling gel mattress and I've never felt so smothered as I do under that duvet. I'm on the third day with it and I'm glad I haven't ordered a duvet cover yet because I think I'll give it to my brother and buy something completely different, there's no way I'll survive the summer using this. Again, I'm not a sleeper, I just wanted something very simple and I wanted it to just fit on the bed and it doesn't do either.
