My fault because I don't understand how to turn it on and off. I use it on the kitchen table where there is a kettle. I have to go past this and behind the coffee maker to get to this wheel to turn the device on and off. I would not buy this item again. I didn't realize that the on-off switch is a wheel built into the cord halfway between the outlet and the device. You can see it in the photo, although it's difficult to see. One of the photos shows a folded cable with both the cable and the switch being white. This wheel switch is most similar to a bedside lamp. Very cumbersome and also dangerous, depending on where the ti is plugged in and you have to reach behind to get to the switch.
