Purchased on the recommendation of a friend. I bought a few others that didn't keep me warm. I like the old style, when it gets "hot," I warm up and then turn it off for the night. But none of the newcomers do. It has to be a question of responsibility. A friend said that the mornings got so hot that he sometimes sweated. You were right, but it took hours to warm up. I went to bed still cold. And before morning I would wake up too warm! Instructions say to turn the blanket over so body heat reflects back into you; so it shall be. Electrical heat is so negligible that it takes several hours to warm up; and in the morning the accumulated heat of your body has finally made you too hot. So buy it if it feels like the experience you want! I couldn't return it as it was too late before I had used it. I threw away the remote control and am using it as a reflective blanket! You can hear the foil rustling inside. I've never tried turning it on an hour before bed. $75 down the drain!
