I applied fake freckles with an eyebrow product and a small brush and it worked well, but I was disappointed with how quickly they faded throughout the day. I practiced on the back of my hand first and found that the best results come from drawing small dots of light and then quickly dabbing them with my finger. This softens the color and creates very natural looking freckles. I tried layering a darker color but now prefer a lighter color as I'm very light by nature. As for the duration, I'm optimistic. When I tried to wash it off the back of my hand, it couldn't quite get it off the micellar water I usually use, so I used a formula specific to waterproof makeup, which worked. I don't have any particularly oily or dry products. Leather. Today I applied my freckles over makeup and setting powder and then powdered with bronzer. I'm happy with them so far! For those reviewers who complain that it's a glorified highlighter, this is actually a makeup highlighter. This makes the application very easy. It has a very fine tip but still requires a light touch to avoid dripping all over the face as the tip is very rich. There is no chemical smell which is also a big difference between it and the card sharpener. Overall I'm happy with it and glad I found a good product for a fun tanned look. no sun damage.
