Review on Camera Canon EOS M100 Kit 15-45mm IS STM LP-E12, white by Mohd Arif ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I like the product very much, fully consistent with my expectations.

I use a camera with a 22 f2 lens (a well-drawn, light, compact pancake, which I left for myself from the Canon EOS M kit). Rarely, through the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS M, I use lenses from CANON DSLRs, but in this case, the battery melts right before our eyes. (I bought a couple more inexpensive, but branded batteries in China) I got the impression that, unlike the Canon EOS M, the Canon EOS M100 has a more "soapy" philosophy, although it probably makes sense - for many it will be the first and only camera. But all this does not prevent me from using this wonderful, really compact device (in the assembled state with the lens, like its predecessor, I keep it in a case from the 70-200 lens). The camera fits easily into a jacket pocket. Again - due to its low weight, the camera + lens - a tripod for this camera can be used the most fragile and light (and, accordingly, cheap, I have a couple of tripods from Monfrotto, and with this unit I carry an ultra-light small tripod in my jacket pocket, it's a shame say, bought in Ashane 5 years ago for ridiculous money). SUMMARY: You will definitely not regret buying this device, which you can take with you almost everywhere. This is not a backpack with a SLR and lenses and a flash to carry around (and if it’s also a whole day?).

Pros
  • This is my second Canon M-series mirrorless camera. Before the Canon EOS M100, there was the Canon EOS M. I bought this model consciously after I had a good feel for all the ease of use of the Canon EOS M, which I liked due to its compactness and consistency. All the main parameters have become better - both the focusing speed and the rotary display and the quality of the video being shot. Those. ease of use in most cases has increased, and the quality of shooting has improved. The price is relatively low.
Cons
  • There is no hot shoe for the flash, as on the old Canon EOS M (by the way, it came with an external EX90 flash). The standard lens - already a new model, but just as formal and boring - immediately went to the box for eternal storage until the future sale of the camera. The carcass is not sold separately (there are separate offers for stripped carcasses, but this is an extremely suspicious option for purchase). And now, this is perhaps for me the main drawback of this camera, since with a standard lens the photos are completely uninteresting. The video shoots better than its predecessor, but clearly does not reach the modern level - some phones shoot better. The battery is old, like on the EOS M, and you need to have a couple more in reserve to turn the mechanisms of large lenses. But with relatives, lungs - it lasts for a long time.
