Where Can You Use the Canon EOS M100 Kit 15-45mm IS STM LP-E12, white?
A compact, easy-to-handle mirrorless camera with superb image quality for those who can''t get enough of smartphone photos. The Canon EOS M100 makes it easy to capture and share every moment with its touch screen and support for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. The powerful DIGIC 7 processor guarantees stunning photos, while continuous shooting up to 6.1 frames per second with a quick start will help you never miss a single action scene.
- - Image quality. At manual settings, it is not inferior to large SLR cameras. - Dimensions and weight. This is a really small camera. Of course, with a whale lens, it will not fit in every jacket pocket, but if you put a pancake on 22 mm, then you can carry it in your pocket. At the same time, after the DSLR, it feels like a fluff. - There is wifi, bluetooth, nfc. I set up the connection once and you can transfer pictures even to a smartphone or watch directly on TV via dnla.
- - The number of lenses and their prices. Lenses for ef-m can be counted on the fingers of two hands, and their prices are very high (compared to ef-s). Someone may say, so there is an adapter for ef-s. Yes, there is, but it is expensive, even if you buy used, but most importantly, the compactness of the device is lost and the weight increases significantly. There is no point in this adapter, it's easier then to buy a canon 200d. Canon m100 with zoom lens is smaller and lighter than canon 100d with kit lens - The standard lens has a so-called transport mode - you can remove the lens as much as possible so that the camera takes up less space. It's just that it's not implemented conveniently. It is necessary each time to pinch the lever with your fingers and remove the lens with your hands. When power is applied, it also does not open itself, you must also press the lever and open it with your hands. It will get boring the second time. - the screen, although swivel, but turns only 180 degrees for selfies. If you need to shoot something with raised hands (for example, a concert in the crowd), then alas, the screen can no longer be rotated in this position - Canon has good hardware, but the software is crooked. The standard program for synchronizing a smartphone and a camera is buggy and slow. Firstly, it cannot be closed by the back button. Secondly, it will not work if you first launched it and then connected to your smartphone via wifi. Thirdly, if you copy a photo, then nothing can be done in the program itself. You cannot select all photos at once, and you cannot copy and delete photos at once. Of course, there is an unofficial analogue, where everything works much better, but it costs money. - Liquidity in the secondary market. Ef-m is not as popular as ef-s. It is almost impossible to find ef-m lenses on the secondary market; they only sell a whale lens, and then at the prices of used ef-s DSLRs. The camera itself is also quite difficult to sell on the secondary market, because. the demand for it is minimal.
- Compactness, image quality, generally comfortable, good battery life after a full charge. Fast autofocus, quality assembly in my opinion. Good (for a whale) lens
- His shortcomings are extensions of his virtues. Due to the compactness and the transfer of control to the display for the most part, you have to experience inconvenience until you get used to it. Again, compactness, this is an uncomfortable grip, Fear of dropping.
- high quality photos, lightness, compactness, convenience, good electronics, low price, wi-fi
- small choice of EF-M optics, quality decreases at high ISO (at dusk), no attachment for an additional flash
- Quick start, direct image transfer to smartphone, touch screen, easy controls
- The battery is charged outside the camera, it will not be possible to recharge it on the road, the lens must be brought from the transport position to the working position before shooting
- Compact, lightweight (450g with kit lens), can be used with a selfie stick (I have it from xiaomi) Excellent work of the machine for both video and photo. Tenacious smooth autofocus, can focus quite quickly on a receding / approaching object. The screen rotates into a selfie Very handy device for vlogging
- Threesome embly. USB, sd, hdmi covers are flimsy to the touch. Small battery for video recording. Someone lacks 4K, my personal computer does not cope well with it. There is no input for an external microphone. I use an external recorder and a onhole. There is only electronic stabilization on the matrix. To comfortably record yourself walking, you need a steadicam or a lens with stabilization.
- compact camera, fast and clear autofocus, 60 fps video
- -
- - Weight and size. - The speed of work, excellent picture in different shooting conditions. - Convenient control and settings, from full auto to full knob, you can use it both at amateur and professional level without problems. - Excellent screen. Rotatable, convenient for both selfies and shooting from different angles. The picture is visible even in bright sunlight. Touch, which is familiar and very convenient to control. - Wireless synchronization with the phone, and nimble. - Quiet at high ISO, great for shooting in low light.
- - At a wide angle, it lathers around the edges, sometimes quite noticeably. - There is no possibility of quick recharging, for active shooting you need a spare battery. - There is no way to connect an external microphone, which is sad with such a good video quality. - The stabilizer is still weak. - There is little room for a grip, even for a woman's hand, you constantly get either on the buttons or on the touch screen.
- This is my second Canon M-series mirrorless camera. Before the Canon EOS M100, there was the Canon EOS M. I bought this model consciously after I had a good feel for all the ease of use of the Canon EOS M, which I liked due to its compactness and consistency. All the main parameters have become better - both the focusing speed and the rotary display and the quality of the video being shot. Those. ease of use in most cases has increased, and the quality of shooting has improved. The price is relatively low.
- There is no hot shoe for the flash, as on the old Canon EOS M (by the way, it came with an external EX90 flash). The standard lens - already a new model, but just as formal and boring - immediately went to the box for eternal storage until the future sale of the camera. The carcass is not sold separately (there are separate offers for stripped carcasses, but this is an extremely suspicious option for purchase). And now, this is perhaps for me the main drawback of this camera, since with a standard lens the photos are completely uninteresting. The video shoots better than its predecessor, but clearly does not reach the modern level - some phones shoot better. The battery is old, like on the EOS M, and you need to have a couple more in reserve to turn the mechanisms of large lenses. But with relatives, lungs - it lasts for a long time.
- + Super compact and lightweight, lighter than almost all competitors with this matrix + There are all manual settings + Great touch screen, no need for a viewfinder + Excellent photo and video quality
- - Some may not be comfortable with touch controls - Flat body, it is not always convenient to hold with one hand, but in general you get used to it quickly - No microphone input for video
- The quality of the photos is excellent, the camera itself is light and compact. Great alternative to a heavy DSLR
- I did not notice
- -Filling. In fact, this is a modern cropped Canon DSLR, only in a compact body (and without a mirror). The combination of the new sensor and Digic 7 handles noise quite well, compared to my old canon DSLR, the range of working ISO has almost doubled; - Image quality is excellent. The in-camera jpeg is quite good, raw is very plastic, you can pull out a lot of details from a picture in the editor, this pleases; - Many shooting modes that will appeal not only to amateurs and beginners, but also to pros (for quick handheld shooting, some modes are what you need). I would give special praise to the machine - very smart, the percentage of correctly recognized scenes is close to 100. There are also classic manual modes: aperture priority, shutter speed priority, manual; - The autofocus system (proprietary dual pixel) is good - fast, clear, especially in combination with the STM lens; - The dimensions are super compact, in comparison with a DSLR, this is a separate bonus; - Separately, I note the hybrid push-button-touch control system, some of the functions are implemented through mechanical elements, some through the touch screen. Everything together works intuitively, got used to it in 10 minutes. The menu after the canon DSLR is generally native.
- - The build quality, despite the fact that it is made in Japan, is a little puzzling - a couple of body panels squelch, there are small backlashes on the buttons. Everything was tight on the DSLR; - The whale lens is not happy with the aperture values, especially at the far end. But it has good sharpness.
- Compact. Light. Might be good for beginners.
