I use them on my kayak and run wires in them to hook up my trolling motor. 12 gauge wire, I would prefer 8 gauge but still ok. For a small motor don't use an 8 gauge and I use a fuse box. Installation is pretty easy and quick, make a hole with a 1" hole saw, connect the bushing to the inner wire, then install the screws to secure the bushing and that's it. 100% recommended! Suggestions to seller please include rubber that acts as a protective shield between the surface and the outlet. This makes it difficult for water to enter the hole.
