I'm a big fan of products with built-in rechargeable power supplies. The BLINK Outdoor Cam uses two removable lithium batteries (lasts at least 2 years on minimum power settings) *OR* you can connect a USB charging cable to it :-D To make it work without pinching the charging cable I had to drill a 3/8 inch hole at the back of the case, plug in the cable and seal the gap with silicone to prevent bugs from nesting or moisture from accumulating. If there is a power failure in the house, OEM batteries last up to 2 years :-P
