Bad batch?: Water pumps

I must have a bad batch. Put 3 Gates water pumps (on the same car) and they all leak after a few hundred miles. The company gave me a replacement every time and eventually refunded my money. Unfortunately I had to buy a genuine Ford part for $110 more.
