I bought this smooth surfaced brush to sweep countertops and tables quickly but be careful running it over plastic or rubber as this tends to marked threads Stick to these types of surfaces so you end up with a bigger mess than what you started with. The shape of the brush works really well when cleaning a dirty fan, but once you run it through the fan's plastic cage there is a terrible static cling that you can see in all its glory on dark plastic (in the case of a fan) or dark rubber (for mouse pad XXL). It works reasonably well on wood or metal surfaces such as those found in workshops or garages, but is not intended as a feather duster. Period.
