Normally a dozen gray perms are $2 at Sally's Beauty, but I got THREE dozen for $3.39 here on Revain from Maya Beauty. In that regard, it's a lot. Now you need to consider the shipping and handling costs and how quickly you need them to determine if this is a good deal for you in the end. When I bought them I had to pay $9 for shipping and handling because I bundled them with different sizes of perms and the total cost didn't reach the $35 minimum for free shipping. Overall the rods are great. They work as expected. My curls are full as expected. I've had them for a few months now and have used them twice. They haven't lost elasticity yet, but I'm sure the more you use them, the more elasticity will be lost. This is just my experience with permanent rods in general. I love rods and would definitely recommend them. They are great for curling hair, including synthetic ones.
