There are many such adapters out there and the best that can be said about any of them is that it only works when you plug it in. This is exactly what gives me the ability to run dual monitors, power, and USB-A ports from one device for my MacBook Pro. It's well made and seems to last a long time. Update: This worked great for about 6 months but unfortunately it just stopped working. For the price it was still good value but unfortunately I bought another brand again and it didn't last as long as I wanted.
