First, I wouldn't call them "trendy" - they're barely 1/4 inch top to bottom, so anyone who sees them probably won't notice they're there. ' What they can do is debatable. Second, the gold "tubular" clasps shown in the top image are not the ones that came with the earrings. If you look at the fifth picture from the bottom you will see small plastic backs with a light gold rim to try and hold on to. I suspect if I were trying to put these earrings on a young child I would spend a lot of time crawling around on the floor looking for dropped earrings and small turquoise suede backs, but in reality they are not as impressive as the picture in the listing.
