The standard foam that comes with Oculus Quest 2 is enough, but it's not that comfortable, it's also very difficult to clean, especially when replacing a headset from one person to another. I didn't want to make a whole new foam installation so I decided to make this cover that slides over the existing foam. Before that, I thoroughly washed the original foam. Since then everything has been great! I wipe down the surface after each use and the headset doesn't seem to leave as noticeable marks on my face as it did with the original foam. The only issue, I believe it has more to do with the overall weight of the HMD, but the silicone just seems to make the headset heavier. And sweating seems more obvious because it doesn't penetrate the foam. These are just a few questions that are not decisive for me. I recommend getting one of these, also for the simple reason that it's a must-have if you plan to share a headset with others. I love letting people try VR and it just makes it more hygienic.
