Being plastic it can be difficult to get a tight fit and watertightness at all connections but a little teflon tape helps. If I could take off half a star for thread slip when tightening the bulkhead nuts I would, but it's still plastic so don't expect super high performance. We used this to make a never empty dog water bowl and it works great. Others can use it for ATO in their tank sump and it will work just as well there. However, if you have high water pressure, you might want to consider a reducer in the line going to the valve.
