I was delighted to find this cable after my wife got a new MacBook Air that only has USB-C ports. Right now we've had to resort to an old laser printer that doesn't support WiFi because our wireless inkjet printer ran out of ink ($80 for inkjet ink at home is ridiculous, but I digress). Either way, the cable performed phenomenally, allowing her to print directly from her new MacBook without the pesky button (seriously, Apple, more buttons?). The cable is slightly thinner than other cables of this type and you can feel a bit of wire braid through the insulation. I think it will hold up well and seal for a few years.
