Review on Led Light Bulbs Watt Equivalent by Dana Lynn

Much better performance than I expected for my specific needs.

Much better performance than I expected for my specific needs. My husband uses an old lamp at the head of our bed. The headboard has some depth so the top is flat. The lamp has an emotional meaning. The lamp has a simple on/off rotary switch and a shade with a wire mounting frame that slides and attaches to a single bulb. We use this lamp connected to a dimmer. This circuit worked well with an incandescent lamp for many years. As part of my efforts to reduce electricity consumption at home, I have tried several CF and LED lamps. Sometimes they are not compatible with the old dimmer switch. I can't easily change the dimmer as it is built into the headboard. Sometimes the color of the bulbs is too bright, like daylight, even though it's advertised as "color matching" with incandescent bulbs. Sometimes "dimmable" LED lights had a very limited dimming range and/or made a humming or ringing noise when dimmed, which again was unacceptable to us, although the advertisement said they didn't make that noise. The good news is that this lamp is finally working for us. The color is so close to a lightbulb that my husband didn't notice I changed the lightbulb without telling me. The lamp works great with an old dimmer, the dimming range is almost the same as an incandescent lamp and there is no buzzing or ringing. I am very happy to report that this lamp works in all respects as advertised. The LED lamp even has a shape that is so close to an incandescent lamp that the old lampshade fits the LED lamp properly. I can't solve the durability problem as we've only had the lamps for two weeks.
