I opened this case for a 3 year old iPad Air 1st class. This case feels much more protective than any regular flip case, with a much thicker hem providing more protection between the screen and potential floors or other objects. Overall this case seems very functional and the legs help set it up at a good viewing angle that works on a variety of surfaces. Just a few things I didn't really like: - There are some weird waves/splits. along the top of the screen next to the microphone, which looks like a defect in the case itself, but shouldn't affect the function of the case. - The power and volume buttons are slightly recessed at an awkward angle, which seems a bit odd to me as an adult, but might take some getting used to. The 3 year old didn't complain. The spot where the button connects to the top of the case (next to the power/volume buttons) feels a bit flimsy and flimsy as it can flex back and forth but holds up well.
