Mine arrived with no quality control issues, very luxurious in look and feel. If I saw someone walking by with this bag I would assume they spent over $300 on it. Also, I had to punch two extra holes to get the right length. I'm 5'10" large and at the shortest factory length, the pocket extends to or BELOW my buttocks. For a bag like this, it should go all the way up, right at the waist. Plenty of space inside, I've attached a photo of mine uploaded as I didn't see it while shopping. The laptop space is clearly empty, but for size comparison, you can see my portable DVD drive in one of the middle slots, a colorfully woven bag full of network and console cables, a USB headset, a screwdriver, a packet of flavored tuna and the smaller one black pouch belongs to me, portable atari. It is a work bag after all. By the way, the inner material is green canvas. In any case, based on the original quality, I would say that this is an incredible value. The tape is questionable but it can be replaced for about $12. And to be honest, I've always burned at least one extra strap on every laptop bag. I ever had.
