Building blocks are much better for kids than playing games or mindlessly scrolling the internet.
Gift for 10 year old granddaughter. She was confused at first as the pieces were in packages and not a gift that she could now use or play with. Batteries were placed in the motor during assembly. As the engine spun back and forth, her interest increased. The mover added more details and took the form of a strange robotic bug. The instructions are good, but not great. As such, several bugs were made and fixed (as is the case with any build or project). Their hands learned to align tools with parts and close fasteners. Eventually, to her delight and the astonishment of her younger sisters, the porter crossed the table. Overall for $35 it was well worth the time and learning. . For all of us.
