Bought this for my 8 year old son. He is autistic and LOVES taking things apart and putting everything back together. Choose from a large selection of items and let your creativity run free. We had to buy a small plastic bin so I wouldn't step on the tiny screws in the middle of the night!

My husband had a construction set a few thousand years ago (given to our oldest grandson many years ago). Significantly improved with motorized engines; very important; and hours of construction work. Imagination, testing, problem solving. Great gift for a boy or girl!

There are practically no instructions for this set. There are instructions on how to build a project, but no written instructions. Only images with small numbers. I've read some other Revain reviews that suggest there's a video on YouTube, but I bought this one to keep my kids occupied and distracted from the electronics. Good little kit. Almost 200 parts and many options. I was disappointed with the instructions or recommendations for assembling the various options. I was expecting more detail - you get rudimentary recommendations, that's all. I don't think a 10-12 year old would be able to figure out what to do with this set. The storage box is of good quality and the drivetrain/motor is of much better quality than I expected at this price point. All parts are really good, instruction manual is very weak.

I'm having a hard time understanding all the good reviews. I gave it to my 11 year old son for Christmas. Instructions are complicated and assembly requires Job's patience and watchmaker's fingers.
