I bought these earrings for my 10 year old daughter last month. She said last week that her ear was bothering her and when I looked, one of the earrings was in her earlobe and the other was on the side of her earlobe. I tried to unscrew the backs but she started crying because they were sore. I ended up taking them to the emergency room to have them both removed. My daughter has never cried as much as when the doctor had to remove a screw from her ear. Now she has two rather large holes in the back of her earlobe and I feel horrible that I bought her these earrings. These posts are very short so I'm not even sure how both earrings are curved like on their ears. She cleans her earrings with alcohol spray at night but doesn't take them off, so we didn't realize that happened. Attention buyers!
